The Walsall Wheelbarrow Company has launched a revolutioary, new system for the packaging, distribution and storage of its wheelbarrows. Known as The B.O.P. (Barrows On Pallets) System, the company is packaging fully assembled wheelbarrows onto Euro pallets for the very first time, bringing major benefits to its customers.
The company's new range of wheelbarrows has been designed so that they can be vertically stacked together when they are fully assembled. This unique feature led to a period of extensive research to develop a method for shrink-wrapping stacked wheelbarrows onto Euro pallets - The B.O.P. System.
The trade has enthusiastically welcomed these new "stack-wrapped pallets". Arthur Taylor, Purchasing Director of N.M.B.S, commented "The new B.O.P. System has been very well received by merchants. It's compact and efficient, which helps storage; it's clean and tidy, which improves presentation, and it also provides an invaluable aid to security within the branch. The system is truly innovative - an absolute winner."
David Hibbert, joint Managing Director of Stax Trade Centres also added, " It takes us about a third of the time to unload wheelbarrows on these new pallets and handling them is a piece of cake. It's a much better system."
The B.O.P. System reduces hidden costs. Its major benefits include:
- Reduced handling; rapid loading and unloading; easier deliveries
- Efficient storage with more profitable use of space
- Improved stock control with easy, visual checks
- Improved display and merchandising
- Increased protection and reduced risk of accidential damage
